Who are SZS & what can we do for you?

Hello, I’m Shaun Zealey, known to 1000’s nationwide due to my many years of Mercedes-Benz parts supply experience including Classics & working in the Mercedes-Benz network for 27 years. During this time (in the early 90’s) I was part of the team running the original UK Classic Parts Centre in Poole. Then followed a short spell in MB commercial vehicles before moving on to eventually become Parts Manager at another MB dealership. When Classic Parts Manager Mervyn Wright, (whom many of you more ‘mature’ Classic owners will remember) eventually retired from the Classic center I put myself forward for the role, as I enjoyed it so much in the early days.

I worked in this role for a number of years before deciding to move to beautiful South Wales. Working remotely for the brand proved a bit challenging for us. However it just so happened that a well-known German Classic MB parts supplier was looking to expand their services and following a brief interview it was decided that I would become their UK representative and I went on to work for them for 6 years.

I’ve now come to realize that I have far more to offer UK customers via by own business (some of you have been on at me to do this for ages!) & it’s my joy to now be able to offer Mercedes-Benz Classic parts directly via SZS. I also want to take your pain away from importing parts too, I’ve long sympathized with many since Brexit over the difficulties that can occur.

So, how can my wealth of experience work for you?

The UK & worldwide contacts that I’ve built up over the years gives me the ability to help customers (new & old) in many ways, because I’m no longer tied to one particular company. I’m able to source many new ‘old stock’ parts no longer available too. I’m able to supply known brand parts from stock that I hope will help make the cost of Classic car ownership more sustainable. Whatever your position, owner or restorer, I’m here to help with your new parts needs be it post war right up to the late 80’s. I also have an extensive reference library for these models.

What does this mean for you?

In recent years, sourcing hard to find parts has been getting more difficult, especially no longer available old stock genuine parts, I can help in this area. With the cost of most things going up, plus the cost of Mercedes-Benz Classic car ownership (including insurance & fuel costs) significantly increasing, I’ll also be offering known quality parts at realistic prices. Also assisting when parts are required from the EU, my suppliers are sympathetic to issues since Brexit.

How about contact?

Whoever we call these days we seem to get a digital answer, I don’t know about you but I much prefer a person answering the phone (the phone number you already have stored remains) & that’s just what I’ll do (assuming I’m not on it!), but also, I’ll have WhatsApp active for those of you on the go & an easy email address.

Now, I honestly can’t promise I’ll find that new ‘unobtanium’ part every time, but I can promise a service that will do all I can to find it & make getting the parts you need as easy & cost effective as possible.
